Is there any benefit to using one of these versus just running an extension cord into the back of my safe?

I have a Champion...very comparable...and no, I just ran an extension cord in thru the hole provided for that and plug in a Golden Rod humidity device and that's that.

Made my own. It's nice to be able to run the golden rod, motion activated lights, and be able to charge items while secure

Have the Presidential which comes with that it makes it easy and works nice.

Make your own. Cut the end off an extension cord, get an electrical box and wire in an outlet that also has USB on it.

I was planning on just running a cheap extension cord, I wasn’t sure if there was any real benefit to spend in the $45 on one

buy an outlet strip, cut off the plug, thread the cut end from inside the safe out thru the hole. get a plug at a home center and attach the wires to it and plug that into an outlet near your safe.

Same. Cut the end off a power strip, plumbed it up inside with chargers, plugs, lights, etc. and reconnected outside to AC / house power.
