I've got a good 140 gr Berger load @ 2750 fps.

I'd like to also find something in the 110 grain + /- that can push 3000 fps.

Intended use is punching paper bullseyes to 1000 yd or more.

You have several choices, one of which is the 100 ELD, but the BC sucks. Like really sucks. 3k FPS would be no problem whatsoever though. Not aware of a 110 gr exactly. Lots of options in the 120 gr range that are respectable. 123 Lapua scenar comes to mind. Very nice bullet.

If youre wanting to shoot paper at 1k... why do you want a light bullet that will just get blown around at those distances?

I would only entertain a light bullet if you were 1) shooting paper at 1-200. 2) varmint hunting 3) reduced recoil for surgery/young shooters.

For long distance you want the mass of a heavier bullet.

Fair question.

As I say, I already got a good 140 load. So I'm looking for a light load.

My local range is 600 yd and that would be my primary use. A 110 -120 is gonna be a better wind buster than 75SMK's, the primary 223 service rifle bullet. So I'm thinking I should be good.

I used 1000 only as a refernence, mostly to say I'm looking for a precision round, not a hunting / hog bullet.. And occasionally, reaching 1K with a light bullet and really testing your wind reading skills can be fun.

Just looked it up....nice G1 BC of 0.564...for same money as Bergers. I gess my question would be "Does it offter much of anything diffrent than 140 Berger HT's? Avg velocity?

3000fps easy in a 6.5cm with mild charges. I shoot them at 2985 SD 1 41.7gr H4350 in my 26" x47L... Peter Varley shot a light gun record 2.01" 5 shot group at 1000yds with the 123L in a 6.5x47L...

Just a suggestion but I ould consider the 123 Nosler custom COMP.
I have been playing around with it in the 6.5x47 and it has been very accurate and would easily exceed 3000fps in the 65CM.
I did a 10 shot ladder today with Varget ranging from 36.0 to 37.8 in a 24" Schneider barrel and it made it to 2950fps at the 37.6 mark and no hint of pressure.
