Light & Medium Palma

Looking to build a 6.5 prc hunting rifle off a Origin action. Planning on a 24" barrel and I'm wondering about contour. I'm thinking of a light palma contour, anyone have an idea what weight that barrel would be?

Also would a 24" medium palma be close to a Remington varmint/sendero?

The listed weight for palma is at 31". So at 24" would it be close to 4lbs?

Dont have weight of bbl alone but i have a 7 saum built with a defiance deviant hunter xm w/ defiance bdl hinged floor plate, manners EH1 (non-adjustable) and bartlein light palma customized to be 0.750” muzzle at 24”. Total weight without scope was 9lbs 10oz ish.

To answer your other question the light palma is pretty close to the sendero contour. I’ve had both.

So medium palma would be a little heavy for carrying a hunting gun?

The little bit extra weight might be nice with the PRC, but if your looking to cover a lot of distance or elevation I’d go with the light. I’ve got a 26” medium on my current do all rig and it’s seem well suited for the purpose.
