Rifle Scopes Lightweight Scope

First real post.

I will be purchasing my first custom rifle: hopefully if enough orders are placed for the Spartan Rifles Group Build.

It will be a .243 equipped with an 18" barrel. I want this to be a hunting rifle and would like to introduce myself to long range shooting. Can someone recommend a lightweight scope that is capable of serving both purposes? I would like to stay under $1500. Hunting applications will be Pennsylvania Whitetail and coyotes.

Call them and ask for the Snipershide special and get a further discount.

I only recommend it because it has the best glass in its class and is ultra light weight for a scope of this magnification.

However, it is a mil reticle with moa turrets, so if that turns you off, this is a no go.

Check out the Vortex Viper PST. They are under a grand, decent glass and loaded with features. Another option is the Zeiss Conquest line. Great glass in a hunting weight scope. For a little more money the new NF 2.5-10x42 is really sweet for a hunting size optic.
