Gunsmithing Lil help with SOft Jaw

I got a pair of the Wagner Soft Jaws for light work (mainly muzzle devices). Right at about 20-25 ft-lbs i am getting some spin even with my vice as tight as I can get it (I am not superman). Is there anything that can get me that last few foot-lbs to 30 ft-lbs? Not trying to do barrel swaps, just get brakes, muzzle devices attached for supressor.

Which version do you have straight or channeled? Rosin may help.

CHanneled. I googled for Rosin, but it ended up with a bunch of stuff about wacky weed.

I’ve used brown sugar in place of rosin.

Wrap the barrel in paper before clamping it.
