I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x scope on a Henry rifle and zero at 100 yards is 4.4 mils up. What rings would I need put that back on the bottom or close? Also, has anyone had good experience on raised rings that allow you to use iron sights for close work?
thanks.

Re: little help on scope issue

You might take a look at the Burris Signature Z rings. These are the rings with the polymer inserts. You can get inserts that are offset which allow you to correct for alignment errors between the scope mount and the bore.

Re: little help on scope issue

So, you put a fixed 10X scope on a lever gun? Not prodding, but lever guns are usually an up close tool, less than 150 yards or so; and you put a scope on it that is useless at distances under 100 yards at best.

Which Henry at you playing with?

popgunz, I didn't know that they had one in 17hmr. In that case, the advise regarding the signature zee rings is good, if you can get them on a rimfire lever gun. I've used them to correct quite a few alignment problems.

Re: little help on scope issue

I have 5 revolutions plus a couple of single clicks from bottom to top. It says I have 23.5 mils or 80moa of travel. Finding 0 has me over 4 turns up already. I suppose I could shim the scope on the rings, but was hoping some math genius in here would know how to figure exactly what pitch rings would do that. I had to go with 17 moa rings from Kenneth Farrel to recover o on my .223. If this Henry don't tighten up soon, the scope will come off and be tried on another rifle. The life of an old man ;-)

Re: little help on scope issue

OK, I got on Burris' website and it appears that they have Signature Zee rings for a rimfire application. Using the 20MOA inserts, you should be able to recover about 5 mils of adjustment.

I've used these rings. They are pretty nice and don't mar the scope. No lapping needed.
