We were shooting gallon milkjugs full of water at 450 meters.

Pat, how old is your son? My daughter is only 6 and is dying to shoot one of my 308s. Little boy is only 3, so he's got a while yet. Got them started on the .22s though.

Shane is 9....been shooting the high powers for a couple years now. Little brother is 7 and he started at 6. They both shoot pretty good and really love it. I started them with BB guns and .22s when they were 4. They both have shot clay targets with shanes 410 single shot too...anything that goes "bang" they like...dont know where they got that from.........grin!

Its always nice seeing kids out shooting or doing outdoor activities instead of sitting inside playing video games

Man.... that's great starting them young, you may want to get the young man some eye protection next time though, you just can't be too careful, especially with eyesight.
