I've got a JP LRP-07 that is set up for precision shooting with a 22" heavy barrel. Great rifle, but there are times I would like something a little more compact. I've had a 16" LM8-MWS on order since last summer, but with the delivery date getting kicked back several times, it doesn't look like that will be coming any time soon. My other option would be to cancel that order and get a second upper for the JP with a light weight 16" barrel and midlength handguard and gas. Overall, I think that combination might be a little lighter than the LMT. Price for either option is similar.
