Does changing powder between loads really affect accuracy for a short time (number of rounds)? For example if i shoot my Varget load and the switch to a imr 4064 load is there really a "settle in time" for the 4064?
I would not think it should matter if you are using the same bullet. If you are just changing powder and charge I would imagine the only thing that would change is POI. That is if you have a proven combo that shoots well from that rifle.
Yes, changing powder can potentially require a round, or perhaps a few, to settle in. It can vary by barrel, and / or by powder. Variations are usually insignificant, but if you're testing loads for accuracy, it's something to consider.
