For some reason my rifle just didn't shoot for shit the last time I went out so I went back to square one and loaded up a whole new batch. I also loaded to 2.78 COAL instead of 2.8. Anyways, if you look at the target it seems that 42 is the one to use but my question is why do 3/4 of them have one shot consistently low? These are mag fed out of a semi-auto, the load is 175smk, win brass, cci LR, and varget powder btw and it's around 60 degrees and 100 yards distance.

    All these are 4 shots.

My LR-260 consistently throws the last shot in the magazine 1MOA high and about 1/4 MOA left... This is commonplace for the AR type 308's.

If I'm shooting groups to test loads I always shoot from the magazine (that's the point of the rifle anyway so why single feed it) and I run 1+ in the magazine, aka if I'm shooting 5 round groups, 6 go in the mag. Count, and don't fire the last round.

Thanks, I just wanted to see if other people had experienced the same thing. As long as it isn't me or my scope I can live with it.

+1 It's the bolt carrier staying open, which changes the recoil impulse of the rifle, and effecting the shot down range. Load 6 rounds and shoot 5.
