I bought a bushmaster ar-10 308 win a couple of weeks before all the madness started. I am looking for a basic load for it. I was going to load couple hundred rounds for it just to have on hand. I have no plans of shooting the rifle much. I don't want to waste alot of rounds load testing. It's got a 16" barrel with no idea of twist ( not on bm website?). I have a lot of spare 168gr smk's that I planed on using in it. I have varget and imr 4064 on hand. I shoot 4064 with 175's in my 5r lights out, but don't know a lot about gas operated 308's any ideas on a solid load?

Be careful with the warmer loads you can slam your buffer. If you start to see raised metal on the face of your buffer where the carier is slapping it back off some.
