I noticed the other day the the 308 load that works really well when shooting with the brake (APA LB) doesn't work at all when shooting with the brake off. It makes sense that the extra weight would change the barrel harmonics but I was wondering if this was normal or if I should work a bit more on a load that works both ways.

seems to be normal i change my brake from a jb to a surefire. And with the surefire i had to come up 4 inches and right an inch at a 100..

My 7wsm with one RWS's muzzle brakes changes a lot. It shoots just under 3/4 moa with it on, but groups open up to +1.5" and are 3-4 inches low at 100.
