TLDR: it was cheap at $17lbs and went boom.

3 shot avg from a Steyr Scout (18.8” 1:12), Magnetospeed
178gr ELD-M @ 2.83” COAL
Lapua, once fired & neck sized

*51 grains was very compressed and seated at 2.425” COAL. Under 47gr was very underfilled.
No pressure signs on the primers or cases.

Velocity is low and would likely be finicky. For comparison in the same rifle:
CFE223 46gr 2686, 50gr 2829
RL-15 46gr 2680
AR-Comp 41.6gr 2629
Shockingly, 1200fps video showed no muzzle flash. Where RL-15 is a fireball.

Started this off as a 40gr duplex load with CFE223/Superformance:
40/0 2248.00
30/10 2108.00
20/20 2068
30/10 1992
0/40 2004

We all (should know, or quickly realize) Hornady Superformance powder load data is sparse; it is not the same custom blends used in their Superformance shelf ammunition. Being a slow seller, my LGS just had a clearance sale of it and I bought some.
I’ve never seen data for it in 308w because it is a slow powder, so I loaded some to have & share some data.

I’ll keep it for 243w
