Loading a Floor Plate on a 308 ?

How do you load a 308 rifle with a floor plate instead of a magazine and how many rounds will it hold ? I guess I could figure it out, but thought it would be easier to ask. Thanks in advance.

Top load, open floor plate to spill them out.

As for the number of rounds it will hold...it varies.
