This might have gone to the reloading forum but I figure I can get the DTA folks here. I have a DTA coming in. Trying to get reloading stuffs together. A few questions;

* Do you guys recommend using a set of body and neck dies? Which ones work well?
* What are your "pet" loads that works well for the DTA in 26" 308?

Man, 26" is overkill unless you're shooting F/TR Class. That said, I've shot this classic load in a number of different length DTA barrels and it was solid, especially with the 16" barrel:

175SMK
Lapua Brass
GM210M
45gr Varget
don't remember specific COAL off the top of my head but it was 0.01" off lands

Here is my load:
167 Lapua Scenar
Lapua Brass
CCI Large Rifle Primer
43.5gr Varget
standard length 2.80"

My die:

Lee Collet Neck Sizing Die with mandrel that is 0.002" smaller than the default
Body Sizing Die

A .308 is a .308, the rifle doesn't matter at all, just the barrel and kind of shooting you will do with it. That said, you cannot go wrong with either 168 or 175 gr with some varget and Winchester brass.
Cheers and congrats on getting a DTA
