I have done some searching and if it is here I couldn't find them. I'm looking for load recipes that are for the Ae. I have a MK3 heading my way and am looking for somewhere to start.
I don't remember an AIAW taking anything different than any other joe random bolt gun in 175 and 308. There are plenty of threads on these components, and the AIAW should be withint a small dialing in of the charge weight anyways.
I have an AW with the stock 26" braked barrel and it's extremely accurate with the same load I use in all my other 308 precision bolt guns, 42.2 grains of IMR4064, CCI BR2 primer, and Lake City 94 Match brass. I've also worked up a load of 42.0 grains of RE15 that is just as accurate and almost the identical muzzle velocity.
44.4-44.6gr of varget with a 175 smk in a lapua case is often a node for people. my AIs liked it as well. my hottest load was 45gr varget with a 175 smk in my 20" AW. brass life wasn't great but I got good velocity for a short barrel with that. for primers I have gotten slightly better sd/ES readings with br2s vs 210m. I've recently got turned onto wolf/Tula primers by a friend who was a diehard br2 user with varget who has shown me a few 5 shot oehler 35p slips with ES readings under 5fps.
42.2 gr of 4064 and 42.0 of RE 15 chronograph at about 2630 fps in my rifles. I hevent used Varget. My rifles are the AW 26" factory barrel, and a custom FNSPR with a 24" Rock barrel.
