Maggie’s Lock and load... check.

This is actually a very valuable piece of footage. It shows that 98% of all people are fucking useless about 100% of the time. Not one single screwball, tactical wackical ding dong did a damned thing, they did not help, offer to help, try to help, act in any way useful or do a damned thing that could be mistaken for useful.

Why do they carry a gun? They would stand there like idiots if they saw a crime or get pummeled to death and have their gun stolen from them before they could react in a meaningful way. Not a lot of people are going to be saved by this crew of old white geezers with guns.

if i am in one of those concrete rooms, with a pile of people i dont know, and someone sends an errant round off, i’m fucking out of there. i dont like going into those rooms anyway....cause the people in there i dont know, and i’d say 90% are inept. i cant even begin to describe the stupidity i’ve witnessed the very few times i actually went into those places.

some dumbfuck fires off a round into himself, you bet your ass i am exiting stage left. you dont know if they’re suicidal, off their rocker, or wtf is going on (there). if that makes me useless, yup, i’m useless.

when i see that level of stupidity, i am headed the opposite direction asap.

I know he just said something about booger hooks and bang switches, but yeah, probably not as important as pulling up my saggy ass pants.

If you're depending on this old white geezer to save your azz from the next Walmart shooter, you should check your insurance policy. I'm seeking cover or exiting along with anyone I care about. Unless the shooter is a direct threat to me or mine, I'm not engaging. You had the same opportunity to not be a victim. Not about to put my family through the aftermath because most people chose victimhood. Also, what myronman3 said.

...unless it's little kids.

I am the old white geezer I am depending on to save my ass.

Retreat will always be the best option especially when with family. But if I were alone and had a tactical advantage? I could not live with myself knowing I ran and let people die. Shit who knows? I may run like a baby if that happens. If I do, later I will know, that I am a coward.

JMHO

This is why I hate shooting near/around other people, particularly handguns, in any facility open to "John Q. Public" .... next time you are a public range, just take a look at the bullet holes in the walls, roofs, things that should not be shot at.

I am a range supervisor at my local shooting club. I am extremely fortunate that the folks that are usually there know their shit.....they are firearms enthusiasts and have been their entire lives. Most the members are 50+, i am 46 and one of the younger guys. Most times, there are few people there, so you usually dont have a large group to deal with. Once in a while someone shows up that needs a tighter grip on safety, and then you just give the extra attention needed. The best thing is, it isnt a ricochet chamber.

Now there are 2 indoor shooting ranges that have opened up with 45 minutes of here in the last few years. Been into each of them a handful of times; mainly at the request of new shooters i am mentoring. And every fucking time, there is fuckery IF other people are there.
From motherfuckers in there who have watched John Wick too many times, to new shooters who have NO fucking idea what they are doing and no one to help teach and guide them, to dudes trying to push their girlfriends/wives into shooting things they are uncomfortable with.....and on and on and on. No- fuckin-thank-you.

And the best part is, both these places offer “instruction”...problem is the information and teaching is pretty fucking weak-sauce.

What was with everybody behind the line handling their firearms.

That is a place to never enter.

but, but, but.....they’re tactical. these motherfucking “experts” teaching, most times are shit for brains. wannabes and nothing more.

a bit of common sense goes a long way. the new shooters i have mentored, i always tell them to measure everything against what their gut reaction is. and when they witness things “the experts” tell them, i ask them what they think about it. most times, the new shooters lack confidence in proclaiming what they intuitively seem to know. this is what the “experts” prey on.

a little bit of common sense goes a long way in showing who knows their shit, and who is fronting.
