When on the go

1. Never use the location features
2. Never use the internet
3. Never use wifi
4. Lots of other tricks if you look

I have no idea why anyone would use one of those. You are going to be hard pressed to prove to me that they are not data mining/tracking and selling that data. If they were just monitoring your driving habits they could make it a requirement.

The fact that they offer a discount if you opt in should be the clue. If everyone opted in and it is a 10% discount I believe. St farm would loose millions. They have to make that up somewhere.

Good advice, but really just makes your phone a paper weight. Location is needed in order to use weather apps. Which is essential to me because of shooting/hunting/fishing. Have to be able to look and see if my ass is going to get rained on.

I never use wifi. Ever. You CAN use the internet. Just download a VPN app. Protonmail makes a good one. And its free.

And even if you do never use location, wifi or the internet, your phone is pinging towers constantly when youre, on the go. So...

I check the weather once when I leave home. If I need atmospherics for shooting there are other ways to collect that data without using the 4G network.

Good tip on Protonmail. Can I download it without a google account? Because I don't have a google account, not even a fake one (another tip I forgot about)

True about the phone pinging towers. You can power it down and it won't do so any more. You can also use a burner and give your "real" phone to someone else for some period of time.

My guess is you have some Facebook product installed on your phone and active.
It's pretty common knowledge that all the facebook software stuff on your phone is constantly listening to everything you do, say or hear in order to sell some stupid company "relevant ads" that are targeted to you.
