Long action options

thinking about doing a long action bighorn origin long action and was thinking what would be best 7mm or 338 lapua magnum.
Will use for long range shooting, big game hunting, maybe light materials need shot through.
Something that if and when I need a bigger caliber gun thats man portable what should I go with

would think it depends on what you want to hunt and what you are allowed to hunt that animal with not sure I have never done it but not thinking they are going to let you hunt rhino , or buffalo , or elephant with just a 338 lm other animals that may just ruin more meat then it would be worth using on . but again I have never tried it so am totally unsure good luck with what ever you decide to choose or get pics are always nice to see , and excerpts of an adventure are fun to read about .

Last I checked, bighorns aren’t available in a lapua bolt face.
