I got my first taste of long range shooting this past summer with some work colleagues and have been hooked since. I've also been lurking the forums since then and decided it was finally time to register and introduce myself.

I'm from the east coast, but I will be moving to the PNW after I graduate from college in a month and plan on shooting NWPRL club matches as frequently as my work schedule/wallet allow. Very inexperienced when it comes to long range shooting but very eager to learn, compete, and get better!

Welcome, I'm in the same situation very limited experience with long range. But the fellas on this site have cut my learning curve in half! Great place with even better people! Enjoy.

Good morning I too have been lurking for several years. I have little experience with long range shooting. I have been focused on my health after 2 liver transplant due to an autoimmune disease. I am self-employed and have limited time but have been saving up and researching every chance to jump into a long range setup.I have read alot and this site is by far my favorite. The folks here seem to be courteous and full of great information. I have 40 acres in West Central Fla and access to 1000+ yard shooting. My experience is mostly under 300 yards with hogs and coyotes using 5.56 and BLK. I have extensive trigger time under mid range but need to learn alot more on longer range shooting. Been saving up and researching and I'm ready to purchase a 7.62 Larue. I am not too sure on optics was hoping to get some guidance from someone here when the time comes. Really looking forward to we're this journey takes me. Thanks for any help in advance.
