I currently have a hdmr 3.5-21 with a trmr 2 reticle on top a remington 700 in 308. I just bought a rem 700 5r 24in barrel with timney trigger and seekins 20moa rail in 300 win mag. Im trying to choose a scope for this gun and plan on usong it for long range mainly. With the hdmr im at max mag even shooting 100 yards so i like mag apparently. Should i get a 6-24, 8-32 sightron s3 or a burris 8-40? Cheaper is better of course. I considered getting a 3-15 swfa for the 308 and putting the hdmr on the new gun since the 308 is mainly 300 yards or less. Thanks for any input.

I have a beast and a mk6 and constantly find myself using them at 14x at 600 yards and then moving it up to 18x at 1000, it makes the cross hairs really fine and easy to be precise IMO. Whats the range you are going to be shooting?
