Sniper I Tactical Training
Sniper I is a 3 day course for the beginner/novice shooter, focusing on building a solid foundation of marksmanship fundamentals. The student is not required to have any experience with long range marksmanship prior to this course. This will be a moderate paced course; but students can expect to spend most of their time in the prone position. The instructors will begin by focusing on safety and then quickly advance to rifle/scope manipulation and breakdown, fundamentals of marksmanship, reading and adjusting for wind; and internal/external ballistics. The students will engage static targets out to 1,000 yards. This course will take place at the Sewet Range Facility utilizing the entire area and services they offer. Students will leave the course with knowledge of their rifle and personal capabilities, as well as a foundation to grow as a Long Range Shooter.

Gear List:
Ares Armor recommends each student possess a rifle that is capable of 1 minute of angle (MOA – 1 inch 3 round shot group at 100 yards). Rifle scopes are mandatory, with adjustable elevation and windage turrets. Ares Armor has a limited supply of rifle scopes available to those who need them at no additional cost. Rifle caliber must be a minimum of .243 Cal with a maximum of .30 Cal. Maximum velocity must not exceed 3100 fps.

• Appropriate footwear (no flippy-floppies)
• Appropriate clothing (we shoot rain or shine)

• Food/Snacks
*Each student will be provided a storm tactical data book, rear bean bag, Ares Armor tactical training t-shirt, calculator, student handout, and Certificate of Completion. Cleaning kits will be provided for student use, students may keep the solvent and cleaners; but are required to return the actual kit.
**Binoculars, spotting scope, shooting mat and range finders are recommended, but not required.

Lodging: Students are welcome to stay onsite. Tents or Trailer/Motor Home are permitted on the premises. There are several Hotels within 20 minutes of the facility. Sewet Range is located at - 32700 Highway 371, Anza, CA 92539.
Our Training facility, Sewet Gun Range, offers a variety of environments and locations to shoot from maximizing the students exposure to different wind values and velocities. Sewet Gun Range offers a unique environment giving the shooters an uninterrupted experience. You will not be bothered by firing lines going cold, or other problems associated with shooting at a public range.
