Long Shots in Nebraska

Hey i'm curious if anyone out there has had an opportunity to do some long distance shooting here in Nebraska. I'm not a big fan of gun clubs and not a big fan of shooting ranges. Nor am I a big fan in shooting with other distractions.

So, i'm curious if anyone out there has done some solitude shooting here and where. I'm in Omaha but i'm willing to drive. Looking hopefully for an area to tweak skills to 2 to 300 yards and eventually stretch it out to 5 to 600 yards. Once there I want to go further. So all in one (shot) spot would be great.

Is this a backward self invitation to shoot on someone's private range? Are you a big fan of allowing them to shoot with you or do you just need the keys to the gate and have them stay out of your way as well?

what i'm saying is I know one spot in public land but I've got about 100 yards to shoot. The laws here say you can do it on public land but a lot of resources here in Nebraska say yes you can do it and when you get there they like for you to refrain from going long.

Don't mis-interpet what I said plainly!

I don't like the idea of some one allowing their child handle an uzi and shooting me.
I don't like the idea of some 18 year olds shooting off sks's right after they just bought it.
I don't like the idea of idiots doing idiotic things with guns like all the videos show.
I prefer solitude.

No, not a weird way of saying anything. If you do not want comment do not post on a public forum. You seem to be making demands while asking for a favor. Doubt you have much luck. Never know, someone may just love being told what you want done on their private range.

If anyone knows a PUBLIC place like a STATE reserve or WILDLIFE RUFUGE that they haven't been harassed here in Nebraska that they have done some long shots, shout it out.
