Looking at a rifle.

I am trying to get started in shooting long range and I found the Remington 700 SPS. I was thinking that this would be a good starter rifle for me. I have been looking at the Super Sniper 10x42 that a lot of people are recommending on here and that is the optic I am looking at right now. Any suggestions on the rifle or scope will help.

Both good solid foundations to start off on. Excecially if in the future if you enjoy shooting theres endlles capabilities with the M700 action.

Make sure you you like a fixed power optic before deciding on a Super Sniper. Everyone who likes fixed power scopes seems to like the SS, but personally, I cannot stand a fixed.
