Anybody got a quickload for the 155amax? Currently shooting the 168amax very well and bought a box of 155's to try. Shooting out of Remy700 SPS tac 308 20inch BBL. Lapua brass, cci200 RL15 or varget. Thanks..any data would be helpful.

Do you have a particular grain weight that you are using for those two powders or are you looking for suggestions?

Sobrbiker883, can you tell me why this is an issue? I've been offering up some QL data with questions lately as there seems to be a lot of tuning going on with the 30 cal converts to 6.5 Creedmore, 260 Rem, 6.5x247, and 243 Win (not to mention the 6mm Crusader). Just trying to give back here but if there is an issue with it, I'll stop.....

I don't have quickload nor do I used Hornady Amaxes, but my 155 grain Lapua Scenar load is on here. 47 grains of Varget got me 2899 FPS with a single digit standard deviation. CCI primer, LC 05 brass. 24" tube

Thanks guys...Sorry for asking. Wasnt trying to get anybody in trouble. The last thing I want is that. Ive pm'd another member who was very helpful and able to get me started. I think the best way to resolve quickload questions is privately. I will definitely be purchasing the Guide in the future when funds are available.

I just know folks got their panties in a twist about it not to long ago. Neco complained and Lowlight complied.

Seems kinda lame to me, as I load for only 3 claibers and rarely need the info, but whenever I'd change something, I'd ask here for QL help, and would get everything I needed to be on the right track. (Could actually use some data for a new bullet currently myself).

I can also see where it could hurt their sales and today everyone needs to put food on the table and keep the house paid (my main reason for not having my own copy yet).

Re: Looking for 155 gr amax quickload

Ok, so this is a NECO losing sales issue not a Hide liability issue. I'll search for the original threads that discuss this but that is good to know.

That said in my opinion, NECO should be very pleased that Quickload is the de facto standard on the board and that users are both requesting and providing information while using the tool. Frankly I use Quickload about 20% of the time for myself and 80% of the time helping others that are new to reloading and new to QL. For many new reloaders, this is their first exposure to the power and benefits of QL and through receipt of basic data, become more interested in the programs capabilities.

As an example, I purchased it after learning the benefits from others on this board and when I wanted to tweak generic loads further, made the plunge and purchased the program (and then the upgrade). Because there is an almost infinite amount of fine tuning available in the program itself, there is no way that information sharing with a generic QL load will give a non-user the complete benefit, thus necessitating purchase.

If NECO is asking us to not share data, I think this is pretty short sighted on their part. By helping contribute to the board and creating a de facto standard for loading data, they will actually increase sales and increase program awareness across a group of professional and expert users. Plus I learn a lot with each new load I construct which enhances my knowledge of the program and enhances my enjoyment and expertise to share with others (who would correspondingly buy as well when they understand).

Thanks sobrbiker for sharing the heads up. I think I'll continue helping board members at this point until LL or another authoritative member tells me otherwise. Sharing of info is what makes this board better than others and this element of the Reloading forum makes the board and NECO's revenue better than they would have been otherwise.

<rant off, sorry for the long one>

Thanks Hazardus...I appreciate your generousity. A good comparison would be to go buy a car and not be able to test drive it. Im sure not goin to buy a car I cant drive first.

Re: Looking for 155 gr amax quickload

After reading through the original thread, I've come to the conclusion that Neco asking folks to not share the results of their calculations would be like jbm asking my to not share my dope at the next match with a new shooter, or a scope manufacturer asking my to not loan my scope to another shooter that needed to borrow it.

In my opinion, asking you to burn me a copy would be bad.

Sorry I opened my trap at all....

Wanna run me Some numbers for a load if you get a chance??
