I wanted to ask if anyone had some suggestions of where I might get either a 24" or 26" 5.56 barrel for an AR15 platform.
Specifically I'm looking for a very accurate 1:7 twist, and a medium profile and threaded at the end if possible.
I'm looking to build up an AR15 with a longer accurate barrel that I can carry around pretty easily but shoot the heavier bullets (75 / 77 from the mag and 80 and up single feed by hand), quite accurately when I don't need super long strings of fire.

It seems that the only 24" barrels I have found so far ready to go are the heavy bull barrels that are not threaded and really heavy.
I do plan to possibly run it suppressed in the future, so I didn't want a huge barrel that has to get turned down, in addition to that being way too heavy.

    Thanks.

I second Keystone they turn great barrels. Check out Compass Lake too, they will turn you a barrel like your looking for. They are going to do my optics match barrel that will be 22", 1"/.850"GB"/.820" Muzzle, they'll thread in 1/2-28 or 5/8-24 no extra charge. They do Kreiger, Bartlein, Douglas, Criterion, etc. I'm using a Criterion 1:7.7" twist. I have a Keystone Service Rifle barrel and couldn't be happier with it. My SDM-R barrel is Compass Lake and is on a 1:7" Douglas blank, great barrel.
