What is your budget? A custom action with an r700 footprint can run from $800 - $2000 depending, and a prefit barrel for it would be anywhere from $650 - $1500.

Probably best bet is an Origin action or a Coup de Grace. Then you can go with a pre-fit barrel and install it yourself for free. Probably the best way to get there.

I was thinking along those lines as well. The problem is that shops that sell pre-fit barrels have lead time of few months, usually 4-6

If TS Customs has the blank in stock their lead is a month.

I have a used stainless Proof barrel, competition contour, for an Impact action I bought here on the Hide I’ve never installed I’d sell for $200. I think it has 400-ish rounds on and chambered by Permian Precision. I’ll need to verify round count from the ad, but that’s budget friendly if you want an Impact action. That’s half what I paid for it last year.

Shouldn’t be hard to find a local smith to mount, or you can do yourself easily with some simple tools.
