I just opened up a retail gun store with full-service gunsmith facility in Manhattan, Montana and I am looking for a qualified, trained and experienced gunsmith to run the smith operation.
I graduated from the Yavapai College gunsmith program about ten years ago and did gun work off and on until opening my own gunsmith business in 2014. The retail opportunity presented itself in 2016 and we just opened the doors about seven weeks ago. since I need to focus on the retail side, I need someone to take over the gun work. The Gallatin Valley, where the shop is located, has an unbelievable need for competent gunsmiths and the work includes anything from high-end double shotguns, custom rifle builds, basic repairs and cleanings and EVERYTHING in between.
We do have an individual who is ready to step into an apprentice type position to take the load off of the main gunsmith with cleanings and basic jobs, and I am able to do anything as well, as time permits, to keep the main guy focused.
