I would be pretty surprised if they didn't use the same jacket. There's some little differences between the bullets, but the length of the jacket is very similar.

If Berger 7mm Target VLD's will work for ya, PowderValleyinc.com has them in stock. They are the same thing as the hunting VLD but with a thicker jacket.

I'm looking specifically for the hunting VLD's. On most of my rifles I have decided to shoot hunting bullets (also Amax's) to simplify and only shoot one bullets type per rifle. Being a rancher, I usually have quite a few opportunities for wild pigs and coyotes.

Thanks though.

The thicker jacketed target bullet will do fine for you then. Coyotes aren't exactly tough to kill and a heavy jacketed bullet on a pig will do good.

I'll keep my eyes open on 300's in 44cal, if I run across some I'll shoot you a PM.

Like Bohem said, the Target VLD's will do the job just fine. No need to kill yourself trying to find hunting VLD's because they are not out there, Bergers jacket machine for 7mm's is still not up and running. God knows how long it will be before we see them in stock again.
