i was on the range yesterday with my new howa varminter in 308. with a nikon buckmaster 4,5-14 on it and i had trouble holding 2 MOA on 100 yards
i didnt pay much attention to looking through the scope centered, as i thought a correct paralax setting would eliminate any need for that. am i wrong, is it imjporttant to look through the glass well centered , or at least anytime the same way, or was it just the bad sureplus ammo that made me shoot like crap

+1, sight picture and quality ammo are both very important. Other than that, you have the rifle and the shooter to think about
