Just like the title says, I would like to hear the good bad and ugly on these two. I am looking for some inexpensive binoculars for here around the house and archery hunting (short distances in the Eastern hardwood mountains). I have narrowed my options down to the Leupold Alpine HD and the Bushnell Engage EDX in a 10X42. I can get the Leupold for about $100 less than the Bushnell. I have checked out the Leupold and am impressed for the money but I can’t find the Bushnell in stock close to me. I am curious what others who have used them think.

Idk anything about the Bushnell, but the Leupold binos are a solid option. And, in their lower tier, if you have a problem, they will just RMA yours and send you a NIB pair.

Bushnell CS is, apparently a bit hit or miss.

What are your thoughts on the Leupolds?
The glass is good, and with a spotter, if it is pleasing to your eye then it's good optically. They are made well and are dependable.
Spotters and binoculars are about optics. Riflescopes have way more variables and moving parts.

As I stated, If you're impressed with the Leupold for the money and you can get them for $100 less sounds like the way to go.
