After reading the thread about the guy losing his thermal and just barely finding it the next day, I decided to make the clip one a little more dummy proof. Found the carabiners and stainless loops on Amazon.

Looks good.

I have used flush cup QD mounts and Paracord. Attach it directly to the rail.

How much noise is generated by your setup while moving around?

I just put it together. I don't think it will be too bad. Il throw some tape on it if it is. Snagging on sticker bushes etc might be a bigger issue with the paracord one
