sooooo.....the army needs a new rifle because their current 7.62 cannot penetrate body armor......so they are going to replace it with another rifle that is capable of penetrating body armor.....but fires the same 7.62 ammo that cannot penetrate body armor..

Rifles gonna run about 12,200 a pop according to the numbers in the article. I guess that's about average.

That entire article is a shill piece for H&K, all too common in this day and age of big time defense contracts.
