Really, anything more exciting than murder she wrote re-runs would give an accounting student a love explosion but tonight is special as I just received my AIAW .338! I traded my robarms xcr for this and I will miss that gun but I really think I will have fun with the ai!
The gun was made when I was still in grade school but comparing it with current production pictures it appears almost exact except for the bolt which has the front most rollpin on the opposite side of the bolt body. The rifle is only supposed to have 700 rounds through it an it almost appears less as the bolt body has no wear at all through the machine marks. It also came topped with a 4-16x46 horus vision scope and a spare ai mount which has a 3-10Mk4 which sits considerably lower than the horus.
Other oddities with this old gun vs the newer stuff is the magazines are all parkarized and have different followers and the serial number and 'accuracy international england' engraving on the receiver appear to be gold inlaid or filled with something that appears gold. The barrel is also not fluted and has quite a different muzzle break on it.
Overall this is super slick compared to my rem mlr in 338 which was a university graduation present from myself and I think I am going to enjoy this. Anyone else have an old AI?
