This may be a stupid question, but I looking at a MK4 with M1 turrets but they seem very high. Does Leupold have a "low profile" M1 turret,..about like the height of the M2 and M3?
You could maybe call Leupold and ask them to make some custom turrents for you. Why is it a problem? I kind of like the height of them, it makes it a little easier to see the markings from behind the rifle.
I think the problem you will have is just the design of the M1 turret housing demands a taller knob compared to the M2/M3
You might check with kenton industries I believe they make several custom knobs for various scopes, they might have something shorter than the M1 knob. Otherwise your best bet is the M2 knob scopes unless you really need 1/4 moa.
You might also call leupold about having an M1 converted to M2/M3 or having a custom M2/M3 style knob made for the M1 1/4 moa turrets. Leupold doesn't show that as an option on many of their M4 scopes in the custom builder, however just a bit ago a 4-14 mark 4 showed up on the for sale area with M2 or M3 knobs on it so it must be possible.
