Those of you that have this receiver, do you use any type of loctite to secure it? After removing the scope I noticed slight side to side movement of the mount from the rear hex bolt not being tight. It was torqued previously but it seems like the bolts loosen too easily. I called LRB and the receptionist says they do not use any loctite of any type. Any advice?

Re: LRB M25 receiver question

I used Loctite 271 for my scope mount. It's a Sadlak Airborne, on a Springfield M1A. It hasn't worked loose yet. In Iraq I tried it without loctite on my issued M14, same mount, and after about 100 rds it worked loose. Loctite fixed that though. If the nut works loose it needs the loctite. I use it on all the mount screws. Not the permanent red though that would be a real pain in the ass.
