After all the reading I've done, I'm still not sure about why using a standard mil spec buffer tube and rear adjustable ar15 style butt stock isn't reccomended for this chassis. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I have an extra MagPul CTR stock that I would like to use, and I would really prefer the longer forend of the LSS XL over the LSS but in the product description it states using the adjustable rear stocks is for the LSS.

Anyone running an XL LSS with an adjustable? Thanks.

Here is a link the the LSS XL

The staff at MDT stated to me that the reason they don't recommend that combination is that the cheek rest height will not work for most people. Personally, I use an XLR buttstock with my MDT LSS chassis. But I am sure you could use any combination you want and modify it to work.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning towards a McCree Savage chassis for my CBI barrelled 243 1:8twist. The more and more I looked at chassis the more I seem to be liking the looks of the Mcree. I'm not sure if it is any better or worse than the MDT LSS, or the XLR element. Anybody know of anyone on here that has a thread comparing the three different entry level priced chassis I just mentioned?
