First responders participate in active shooter training drills during the LSU National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter Terrorist Education (LSU NCBRT/ACE) Active Threat Integrated Response Course (ATIRC) at Lamar Dixon Expo Center Thursday Dec. 12, 2019, in Gonzales, La.
This nationally recognized course is a specialized training for LSU NCBRT/ACE instructors who teach emergency personnel and first responders how to improve integration between law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services (EMS) in active shooter events.
Since 2018, this course has provided thousands of law enforcement officers and emergency personnel with key medical skills based on tactical emergency casualty care (TECC) guidelines that can be used at the point of injury (POI) to increase survivability of victims. There will be live, highly realistic exercises involving simulated gunfire to test reaction and response to an active shooter scenario.

I can see both the positive as well as some negative in this training. I just put it here for comments and exposure.
As wonderful as it appears, it's still after the fact training.
