Lube - Lone Peak Titanium Action

He says they recommend slip 2000, which they ship on the action when new. No other special maintenance requirements.

Another couple tidbits you may want to know for future purposes, all of their bolts come nitrided now, and optionally the receiver itself can be nitrided. They’ve also redesigned the bolt handle so it’s threaded at the root like a Bighorn or surgeon.

@MACHTECH Did you find your bolt manipulations to be stiffer in cold temperatures?

I have used SLIP2000 both the oil and grease types. The oil is amazing for AR usage, but he grease really slows things down. I used the grease on my Defiance bolt gun and it was a real PITA when it was 30F outside. Even at 40F it sucked.

I applied a coat of SLIP2000 grease to my Fuzion, and aside from running the bolt to wear it in, it seems a little slower (as you'd expect) than the oil version, but not to bad. This is a hunting rifle and thus I plan on being in some really shitty wet and cold weather. I would rather not experience issues when I'm ultra remote.

Yes! Cold temps made it real sluggish. I switched to the slip2000 light gun oil during deer season. I ended up selling the rifle and had another built with a stainless action.
