Guys,
Washington state just passed into law, the use of SBR's. I have narrowed it down to either the 10.5" IC or the 8" PSD. Would like some feed back onthe barrel length. Both would be 5.56. Thanks, J

I have the LWRC M6-A3 in 10.5 inches. I am also running an AAC M4-2000 suppressor. I went with the 10.5 inch because of the suppressor. The M6-A3 has an adjustable gas block for suppressor use, but I cannot tell any difference. If you run a suppressor or plan to run one, be careful with a barrel that is too short. The baffles on an 8 inch barrel get hammered and the suppressor's life is drastically reduced.

I really love my LWRC. I also have an HK MR556 (416) and the piston system on both are great, but the HK is easier to clean. You will be happy with the LWRC. It is high quality and has functioned perfectly over thousands of rounds for me.

Here is my setup:

Nevada, Thanks for the input. I don't have a 5.56 can yet, so it will be unsuppressed. My dealer has both, so next week I will be able to handle both. I am leaning to the 8.5" right now, but who knows. Thanks, J

I went with 10.5 and also run the M4-2K. AAC doesn't warranty there cans on anything less than 10.5 just in case you're planning on getting a can in the future!

If you aren't planning on running a can id definitely go the 8.5" route. If you end up buying a can and it has an all inconel baffle stack like the M4-2k you can still run it effectively on the 8.5" you just have to be very careful which projos you decide to shoot for stabilization purposes and the types of loads you run to cut down on excess powder going through your can. The piston will help a lot with pressures and a brake will give you a sacrificial blast baffle as well. With a 10.5" you can basically run anything through it and be good. I have both lengths and shoot both suppressed with an M4-2k. Zero issues with either one. Those are both great set ups so you really can't lose. You should think about buying both! :)
