Lyman Ultrasonic cleaner

I get tired of having to check the cleaner after each 8 minute (480 sec) run.
Has anyone modified the timer or disconnected it so that another timer could be used at the cord end?

I haven't modified mine due to he internal clock and reset switch, but I do 8 plus 8 for my cleaning needs and they seem just fine.
