M16A2 TriBurst--> need help

Ok gents, my honor (not to mention a proper BBQ lunch) hangs in the balance.

A point of contention has arisen b/t a friend of mine and myself regarding the tri-burst mechanism on an M16A2.

I have been told that I am full of it for saying that both the full auto and triburst rifles must have an auto sear (3rd pin just above selector).

Can anyone help out with reference material that I can show my friend that he is a feculent bastard? A USMC document of some sort would be just perfect as he's a former Marine....

Yeah, I just gave him some inbox SMACKDOWN with the USAF and Army TM/TO's. Trying to find a USMC document for poetic justice though.

When I get my free lunch, I'm going to tell him how to pull the trigger and which end the bullet comes out of. LOL!
