A litle tribute to USMC snipers,had this done some years back. All Spr. ,but has a new Douglas match barrel. Scope is a Unertl 8x ,no usmc marking,to bad

But she shoots nice,kick a bit more though hehe.

Who did you have do your barrel work? Was it sent directly to Douglas? I have a new C stock, Springfield action and Unertl 8x with black adjustments but not marked USMC SNIPER and would like to do the same as you have here. I don't feel bad for drilling this receiver as my action is a recovered drill rifle action and has lost most of its collectable value.

Eat a lot, get fat, she won't kick as much! I remember when I was 170lbs. I hated the 30-06! It would kick my ass everytime I shot it. Now I weigh 270lbs. It feels like a .243! I love my 1903A3 4 groove barrel!

i weigh 215 and a 30-06 (hot loads)/even single shot still feels like a .243.

Hi, I did have my gunsmith make a new barrel from a Douglas match blank. He did copy the orginal barrel in a machine (milling???) And then fit all parts. Took a viele,but it was worth the time. She is a slick beauty
