I recently picked up a Remington SPS that was partially bedded into a Gunville stock. It included a Badger repro mount and the Leupold m40 scope. It shot fairly well at roughly .75 moa/5 with FGMM 168s at 100m. I decided to have it reworked a bit and here's the result.
-Receiver trued, bolt shroud shortened. Early Tombstone safety trigger reworked to fit newer action.
- Full bedding with pillars added for long term stability. Inside of stock poly sealed. Wichita swivels and Remington aluminum butt plate. Turner sling. Exterior will be done in BLO.
- Lilja 3 groove 1-10 barrel, Varmint contour. 118LR chamber set tight.
Need to stamp the reciever and barrel and then I will have the barreled action coated in 6:1 Sniper Grey/OD green Cerakote to mimic parkerizing best I can. Test fire today or tomorrow.
I plan to keep an eye out for a 6 digit reciever to build a little more accurate clone in the future. This BA will then get used elsewhere. Should be a fun shooter for now.

Very nice, and a great shooter as well.

Check out aluma-hyde dark park gray it has a greenish hue to it after it cures.
You can oil it after it cures for a month or two and it really looks nice.

Take a look at my M700-M40 post to see what it looks like. It is darker now that I have many coats of 3 in 1 oil on the barrel.
My barrel is a stainless Shilen so I was in the same boat as far as getting it parked.
