M40A1 @ 300 yards

Only had a few hours on the schedule this AM.

Trip to the Honey Hole, friend looking for a .22 revolver. I told him get a K22....

He has choices...

Too bad he isnt looking for a K31...

I had cloud cover so I figured today would be a good day on my 300 yard west facing range.

I painted Mr Steel....

Lower cross was to check cold bore/zero.

An M40A1 is a "Sniper" rifle. Therefore I made the head cross because God damn it i was going to be "Snipery".

Full sun came out while I was letting rifle cool some

I had a good string going. Cold bore was a little low. I added .5 MOA on the fine tune (3/.5). Next shot was a hit than i started missing high. The "noise" of prior impacts eroded my aim point but I think the sun changed my target perception.

Data...

Mr Steel....Head zone is 4 inch x 4 inch.

Clouds came back as I was leaving....

Next time Ill go center mass when conditions change.

Makes me want to go shoot mine but the weather has been the shits here lately. Hard to find a spot to go shoot it.
