Gunsmithing M40A1 BOTTOM METAL QUESTION???

I know that the Marine Corps M40A1 used a modified Winchester trigger guard and floor plate but was this a pre or post 64 type?

the 2 piece bottom metal is all the same, but it is steel and not aluminum
