1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Would anyone who owns an M40A3 or A5 and a pair of calipers be willing to measure the barrel inlet on the rifle? Im trying to make sure my Mcmillan A4 can fit the MTU contour barrel so width at the fore-end and depth of the inlet. Thank you!
MTU is going to be 1.250" at the shank/breech for 3". An M40/M24 is going to be 1.200". There is a .050 difference between the the two.
The good news is that with a 1" wooden dowl, some sandpaper, and time - you can open up your barrel channel on your McMillan to accept the larger MTU contouring barrel. It isn't difficult.
