Specifically the recoil lug. Is it bedded tight or taped on sides/front/bottom or just taped on the bottom?

IMHO the only place a lug needs to contact the stock is where it transmits recoil to the stock.

Some argue about bullet torque and what not, but I've never had an issue in 12+ years of floating the front and sides of a lug. -Too include big "boomer" magnums.

I do it exactly the way you describe.

Being this is a USMC M40A3 clone, I wanted to know how the USMC does it.
