Hi ive got some questions about this system.
Im looking to buy a bell & carlson medialist tact. stock for my Rem. 700 in .280 remington.

Will i need to modify it for inletting? Should i go for the BDL floorplaste or the DBM detach. magazine?

Also this rifle will become a .338 Edge in a couple of years. Can i just change the magazine to a .338 Lapua (i know the mag needs modding) or do i need a whole new bottom metal?

Re: M5 Stealth DM M24 Detachable Magazine System

Your stock has to be inletted for badger bottom metal for this dbm to fit. If it is inletted for factory bdl then you need to get a dbm system that works with that inlet. I believe hs precision and the m4 series are for bdl inlets.

I just found out the stock was short action only

i'll stick with my old ADL HS kevlar then, and just install the mag kit on that. Will be harder, but the stock has been ghetto-extened to fit my long arms anyways.

These are made by PT&G. I have found them to be very helpful in answering questions over the phone. I picked one up for a SA and it works perfectly well.
