I have my carried in service USMC KA-Bar, a new never used twin a friend gave me, and this Christmas my sister gave me an OKC KA Bar style knife of the type that was actually issue for anyone that carried a sidearm.

All three get rare use so like I need another KA Bar for what?

I dunno but this knife caught my eye...

Not as OAF looking as the closer to original model

but I think the square spine bowie will be more functional.

Some bitching in the reviews that the guard can loosen up but I dunno for $100 it wont be the stupidest thing I spent money on.

It's hard to have too many knives. and if it's only $100 might as well if it's something you like and enjoy.
Having sets of things is always great for display and picking what you want to carry that day.
I collect lots of knives, but they tend to cost me a lot more.

I like to beat knives like the tools they are.

    Parkerizing actually makes me horny.

The most expensive knife I have is a William Henry folder my than girlfriend now wife bought me almost 20 years ago. Its not one of their handmade pieces of jewelery, more utilitarion, just stainless steel liner and wood scales. I dont know what the blade makeup is or what the scales are made from but it makes quick work of boxes or letters that I want to open.

I fantasize of actually batoning wood for kindling or striking a spark off a carbon steel spine and a rod of steel.

Fun stuff to show the kids knowing they will never need to but at least they can.

You would like this video then:

From my favourite knifemakers, showing how their knives can be pounded through metal pipes.

That clip point KaBar looks mighty fine. Go for it. There is not a thing as too many knives. I carry around 2 to 3 tactical combat folders on me on any given day. Main rig rides in a belt sheath with my Fenix UC-35 light. Another one in my backpack or duffel bag and there might be yet another one somewhere in one of the inner pockets of my work pants LOL
